Goodbye Cassini: A Tribute to a Space Pioneer

On September 15, 2017, the Cassini spacecraft plunged into Saturn's atmosphere, marking the end of over 20 years of groundbreaking space science. In the spacecraft's final weeks before its dramatic conclusion, I created a project to honor its incredible journey and scientific achievements.

This body of work was exhibited alongside a group of talented New York artists at the "Goodbye Cassini" show at Con Artist Collective. The exhibition featured the sketchbook process, two works on paper, and a larger final piece, all designed to convey the immense scale and significance of the Cassini mission.

The sketches and preliminary works on paper provide a glimpse into the creative process, illustrating the development of ideas and the refinement of concepts. The final piece, larger in scale, serves as a tribute to the monumental achievements of the Cassini spacecraft and its contributions to our understanding of the Saturnian system.
