Oglethorpe, Musgrove, & Tomochichi

This series of paintings was created for Husk Restaurant in Savannah, Georga. James Edward Oglethorpe, Mary Musgrove and Tomochichi, three essential figures in the founding of Savannah, Georgia.

Oglethorpe, a British colonist, and Tomochichi, a Savannah native and leader of the Yamacraw, formed what would become the city of Savannah and the creation of the Georgia Colony.

Mary Musgrove, of both Yamacraw and English ancestry, communicated between both leaders and played an essential role in forming their alliance.
